Captain America #5 - Power & Glory: Credibility Gap

Writer: Mark Waid
Penciler: Ron Garney
Steve and Thor team up to take the fight directly to Hydra, and Steve is embroiled in another hostage situation, where he comes face to face with a familiar foe.
Staring the Sensational Hydra! You may remember him from such capers as "Captain America Thwarts a Nuclear Strike," and "Captain America Versus the Smithsonian Institution."

Date: 2014-06-13 02:34 pm (UTC)I hope this trend of one-on-one interactions between Steve and his teammates continues. I love how comfortable he and Thor are. Steve ignores Thor's desire for mead, Thor ignores Steve's use of human idioms like "the second coming". Can we take a minute to appreciate polite serious Thor who is full of wisdom? (Also, did someone let him read American Gods?)
As for the reveal in this issue I assume the skrull does not know Iron Man's identity. I would love for the Sensational Skrull to out himself through Tony. I think there should be fic along those lines. In conjunction with the accusations being thrown at the Avengers this body snatching is awful.
